Artistic Vision

Nothing to Write Home About was born from a place of uncertainty -- a need to interrogate what it means to survive when survival itself feels like a betrayal. It's about the silent negotiations we make with our own pain, the ways we peform wellness, and the ways we hide.

We're living in a time where vulnerability is either commodified or avoided. Where nuance is a risk. Where mental health struggles are more visible than ever, and yet still carry stigma. In this climate, we believe an unflinching, sincere play like this is more than just timely.

It's necessary.

Two actors. One space. A handful of songs. One reckoning. There is no artifice to hide behind. Just truth, rawness, humor, and the weight of what goes unsaid. The play is structured to feel naturalistic. Every rhythym is revealing, every musical moment is a rupture, and every silent pause reveals hidden hostility.

This isn't meant to be theatre that talks at you. It's theatre that invites you into private spaces and whispers: we are not alone. And if we've done our jobs right, you'll walk out feeling a little more willing to be honest. With yourself. And with others.

That's the vision.
